Assume I am not the only one for whom the mud has been offline a couple of days now?

We need a necromancer career to resurrect it!

Is each version a pwipe? I know the last was, just not sure if version = pwipe.

I guess it has been a decade! Looking at all the changes that went into the last version in the span of 10 days or so going to make me jealous?

My only suggestions if there is a pwipe:

-Last time it looked like maturities got sped up, at the beginning? Maybe they could get sped up based on the amount of time an account has been around, so new players down the road get the same benefit, and maybe it entices them to stay?
-Would be nice if the exp economy either reset every X months, or have a mechanism so that over time if left unmolested xp would drift back to NPCs that had it drained.
-Making it so that all abilities for that rank show up would be nice simply because folks tend to have less time for mudding than they did when Blood Dusk was created. Even if it just showed all for that rank (but not lower ranks)? Can understand if this is a no go if they are weighted so that some almost never show up or something.

I'm not sure about the account-related suggestion for now, but I'll set matures to be much faster for awhile.

I'll set something up so it resets on the first of the month.

v8 kind of met this idea halfway in that you're guaranteed that one of the two abilities you're offered when you rank is at that new rank -- before that you could get i.e. two r2 abils offered at r4. Players weren't entirely happy with that change either because it impacted some meta-gaming stuff, but I think it's a decent middle ground.

I think it might be a bit much if all abilities are available, but maybe a way to reroll ability offers can be done. Something like paying the full price of the ability to reroll it into another from the full pool of available abilities, or maybe paying a flat rate like 10-15k to reroll both options (with the chance to get the same ones again).

@Arslajin, will you, or another admin, be more present this go around? I know several players in recent years chose not to stick around because there were no admins.

If there is a periodic resetting of the xp economy, I would be happy. Other suggestions were more of the flavor of what might attract new players to stay.

Any expected changes to the game or to its environment (assume something caused it to go down)? Or just a pwipe and reboot?

Nothing immediate due to lack of time this week and I don't won't to keep the game down longer, but I'll set some time aside each week for the next couple of months to add/fix some things (like implementing kinetic blast).
