| Medicine is a well-respected field in the community, for doctors furnish the much-needed medical care to a citizenry who seems to find itself in armed combat with great frequency. Doctors have skills ranging from the simple setting of broken bones and dressing of wounds, to the complex balancing of humours achieved through calculated blood-letting and leeches. Modern medicine also offers a variety of herbs and drugs which, administered by a trained professional, can be very helpful in treating disease and injury. A doctor's most important stat is intelligence for quick learning (patients aren't fond of offering themselves as guinea pigs for medical students to practice on, oddly enough), and strength for holding down patients during surgery. |
