Weekend Perk Event Ideas

On the heels of the July 4th weekend event, I was thinking about some more events for coming weekends. This thread is intended to collect ideas from anyone who has them.

Here's a list of current ideas, which I think we'll do, I'll start a thread in the announcements forum with a calendar for the planned events.

  • Double XP
  • Half defeat XP and half recover time
  • Double mature speed (time and experience)
  • Double enlights speed again
  • Skill boost
  • Half rank and abil XP (player suggestion)
  • Half zone reset timers (player suggestion, will speed up shop loads among other things)

Here are some additional ideas that I'll need to think about and look into more:

  • Abilities fire twice as frequently
  • Enhanced items that decay after the weekend (player suggestion)
  • +stats weekend (i.e. +5 to each stat)
  • Werewolf weekend (player suggestion, lycanthrope for everyone!)

Just throwing a few out there:

No guards weekend. Those that watch the entrances into the most vaunted places need a vacation, lets give them one! This doesn't include factions.

No travel fatigue weekend

Tournament weekend - Absolute mayhem. Freedom to build a single character and go through a gauntlet and even against each other. This would probably require more hands.
...which brings me to my other idea...
Free build weekend - Create a single character with the perfect stat spread (assuming 15pt matures) and instant maxed skills in whatever career path. Character dies immediately after the weekend

Random ability weekend - Gain a new random ability upon logging in that rotates to a new one every so often.

We can do a tournament in August in the arena with prizes.

Another idea, a bloody weekend -- players get 3x chance to crit, mobs 2x.

Rune Hunt Weekend - Drop rates for runes increased
Gear Hunt Weekend - Bypasses the normal time until item pops with a % chance that it will pop
Regen Weekend - HP and Fatigue regen rates in combat greatly increased
All Ability Weekend - Characters have all abilities for all their ranks active instead of just the chosen ones. Same with NPCs if applicable?

Rune drop rates sounds good, can be combined with the shop reload rates.

Gear hunt is interesting, I'll have to mull that one.

Regen event is definitely doable, I'll add that to the list, maybe combined with something else like movement fatigue.

All abilities sounds good, I'll have to see how feasible it is.
